Russia and India to discuss bilateral cooperation in New Delhi

The first panel session called ‘Fulfilling the Indian-Russian economic promise’, will focus on issues related to developing and broadening economic ties, as well as collaboration in energy, health care, IT, and environmental protection.

The second session will see representatives of several Russian regions speak about investment perspectives and their potential. Special attention will be paid to the republics of Bashkortostan and Mordovia, as well as Kostroma and Penza regions.

These meetings preview the main event - the 20th annual St. Petersburg International Economic Forum that will be held on June 16-18, 2016. A total of 205 contracts worth an estimated $5.4 billion were signed at last year's forum. The record was set at SPIEF 2013, when deals worth $320 billion were signed.
