Russian President Vladimir Putin.
ReutersRussian President Vladimir Putin has been informed about the wish of Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan to meet with him, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"Vladimir Putin has been informed about this wish of President Erdogan," he told reporters.
Peskov abstained from saying whether a decision on the possibility of a meeting between Putin and Erdogan had been made.
The Kremlin proceeds from statements of the Russian Defense Ministry, which has refuted Ankara's claims of the alleged violation of the Turkish airspace by a Russian plane.
"Anyway, we proceed from the information presented by our Defense Ministry. Let me remind you that Defense Ministry representatives have refuted the violation of the Turkish airspace by one of our planes claimed by the Turkish side," Dmitry Peskov told.
"This is what we proceed from," the press secretary said.
