No specific date has been set for Russia’s consultations with the member states of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) on oil output, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday.
The Kremlin spokesman replied to a question on whether there is understanding when Russia would hold consultations with OPEC on this issue.
"No, there are no specific dates," Peskov said.
Last Thursday, oil prices surged after Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said he's ready to take part in the upcoming meeting of the OPEC and non-OPEC members in February. The consultations may focus on oil production cut by 5% by all participating countries.
