The actions of North Korea, which has launched a rocket, lead to serious exacerbation of the situation in Northeast Asia, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement published on Sunday.
"Obviously, such actions lead to serious exacerbation of the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia as a whole, play into the hands of those who stake on the bloc policy and escalation of military standoff, and do serious damage to the security of regional states, primarily, North Korea itself," the document said.
"The policy chosen by Pyongyang cannot help but incite a strong protest. We insistently recommend that the DPRK administration think whether the policy of opposing the entire international community meets the interests of the country," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
