UN chief Ban Ki-moon’s accusations that Russia slows down the intra-Syrian talks are irresponsible, one of the leaders of Syria’s Popular Front for Change and Liberation, Qadri Jamil, said on Wednesday.

"The statement of Ban Ki-moon on Russia’s responsibility for the stopper in the intra-Syrian talks is biased and irresponsible," said Jamil, who is also a representative of the Moscow group of the Syrian opposition.

"This is an unsuccessful attempt to lift responsibility from those guilty," he said.

Jamil said the situation in the region is changing very quickly. "Some cherish hopes of coming back to the previous situation, but the situation has changed forever," he said, stressing: "The statements of the UN secretary general should be neutral and objective."
