Lavrov, Kerry discuss terms of cessation of hostilities in Syria

Lavro, Kerry discussed efforts to draw up the conditions of an armistice in Syria.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and United States Secretary of State John Kerry spoke by telephone on Feb. 21 to discuss efforts to draw up the conditions of an armistice in Syria.

"The foreign-policy chiefs, in their capacity as chairmen of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) and in line with the resolutions of February 12 this year, continued negotiating the modalities and conditions of a cessation of hostilities in Syria, excluding the operations against organizations classified as terrorist by the UN Security Council," the ministry said in a statement posted on its website on Feb.21.
