Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived in Tehran on Feb.21 for talks with Iranian leaders, according to the Iranian Press-TV channel.
Today the Russian minister will meet, in particular, with Iran's President Hassan Rouhani, the channel said.
A day earlier the Russian presidential aide for military-technical cooperation, Vladimir Kozhin, said in an interview with Interfax that Iran is interested in new supplies of S-300 anti-aircraft missile defense systems.
"Iran is making a bid for new systems. But this is a subject matter of negotiations," he said.
