The Turkish military continue shelling the border areas of Syria, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov has said.
"Turkey continues firing large-caliber artillery from its territory against Syrian populated areas near the border," he said on the Rossiya 24 television channel.
"The selective blindness of these facts by leading western media outlets and human rights organizations causes surprise, if not more," the general said.
"Instead of baselessly accusing us of indiscriminate strikes, we are calling on Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Doctors Without Borders to give their official assessment of the criminal actions by the Turkish Armed Forces," the spokesman said.
