March in Nemtsov's commemoration starts in Moscow

​Participants in a march in commemoration of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, who was killed in Moscow a year ago, have started the procession along both sides of Strastnoi Boulevard in Moscow.

Participants in a march in commemoration of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, who was killed in Moscow a year ago, have started the procession along both sides of Strastnoi Boulevard in Moscow.

The demonstrators have formed columns and started walking along the planned route.

The columns are led by prominent opposition activists, including Parnas party Chairman Mikhail Kasyanov, Parnas Co-Chairman Ilya Yashin, State Duma deputy Dmitry Gudkov, his father and former State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov, opposition politician Alexei Navalny, activists Vladimir Milov, Alexander Ryklin, Sergei Davidis, and others.

Police forces have been deployed along the route of the demonstration, utility vehicles have blocked Petrovka Street to traffic, and a helicopter is hovering above the area where the march is proceeding.
