Relations of Russia and China are at the highest level in history distinguished by great confidence and are not subject to influence from third countries, spokesperson of the National People's Congress (NPC), Fu Ying, said on Friday.
"The Chinese-Russian relations are very important for China, Russia is our biggest neighboring state. We say that now the Chinese-Russian relations are at their best stage in history and this viewpoint is based on summing up historic experience and lessons of history," she said a press conference ahead of the fourth session of the 12th NPC.
"The relations of China and Russia cannot be affected by foreign factors and their development will be sound as they meet our mutual interests," Fu Ying stressed.
She noted that compared to other countries, Russian-Chinese dialogue has significant advantages. "I think that the most important trait of Chinese-Russian [dialogue] is that we don’t have to spend much time for arguments and disagreements, for debated, and we also do not exert pressure on each other. We can fully concentrate on discussing cooperation, as well as exchange ideas. This is our big advantage," the spokesman noted.
Fu Yin has described as very important Russian-Chinese cooperation in the difficult conditions of current domestic and international situation, saying it can serve "as a good example for other countries." "Each one of us now faces different challenges, the international situation is also very complicated. In such conditions, China and Russia managed to achieve such profound mutual trust that, we can say, is a great luck for both countries. That’s why I believe that cooperation between our countries will continue to develop and bring more and more benefits to the peoples of our countries," she concluded.
