The Russian Defense Ministry has said the truce in Syria is generally being observed.
"By and large, the regime of the cessation of hostilities in the Syrian Arab Republic is being observed. Only isolated provocations and shelling have been noted," Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said on March 7.
"In these conditions, the issues of civilians' safe return to their homes and humanitarian aid delivery come to the forefront," he said.
Russia has already delivered over 620 tonnes of humanitarian aid, medications and essentials to the Syrian provinces of Hama, Homs, Latakia, Daraa, Deir ez-Zor, Aleppo and to Damascus, he said.
The ceasefire was introduced across Syria on February 27, 2016, by Russia and the United States as co-chairs of the International Syria Support Group.
