Moscow deems the attacks on Russian diplomatic missions in Ukraine to be outrageous and is surprised by the absence of an international response, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said.
"The actions of goons who have attacked our embassy, our consulates general [...] are outrageous. Frankly, we do not see an appropriate reaction of the international community," he told the Ren-TV channel in an interview.
"The uproar was rather loud" when Iranian citizens broke into the premises of the Saudi consulate general, Lavrov said. "Yet in this case we do not see any reaction from our Western colleagues. They are busier making demands not to finalize the trial but to release Nadiya Savchenko. This is a different matter, but hypocrisy and two-facedness definitely continue," the minister said.
