Leading Russian companies will take part in Defexpo India 2016

More than 20 leading Russian companies and defense corporations will take part in the international exhibition of armaments Defexpo 2016, which will be held in Goa from March 28 to 31, report the representatives of "Rostec" State Corporation in New Delhi to TASS.

"At the Defexpo, Russia will be represented by the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FS VTS of Russia), "Rostec" corporation and JSC "Rosoboronexport", say the office representatives. A total of 20 leading Russian producers have already lodged their applications for participation in one of the largest exhibitions of ground and military naval armaments. "

Among the declared Russian participants of the exhibition are JSC "Concern VKO" Almaz - Antey", OJSC" Tula arms factory", Russia’s leading enterprise in artillery armament JSC" "Burevestnik" Central Research Institute, the manufacturer of multiple launch rocket systems "Splav" NGO, the leading enterprise for the creation and supply of arms and army ammunition "Basalt".

It is not the first time that leaders of the Russian engineering industry such as "United Engine Building Corporation", "Tekhmash" Uralvagonzavod JSC, "Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Dome" and "Vympel" Design Bureau will be bringing their proposals to the Defexpo exhibition in India. The manufacturer of optical and laser systems, aerospace monitoring systems JSC "Schwabe – Defence and Security" will introduce its latest developments to visitors.

The shipbuilding and ship repair industry in Russia will be represented by "Rubin" and "Malachite" design bureau and "Zvezdochka" ship repair center, as well as "Admiralteyskie verfi", "Severnaya Verf" and "Yantar" shipyards.

"The list of participants from the Russian side is not closed, we expect to receive new applications", - say the representatives of the "Rostec" corporation.

As the Defexpo organizing committee told TASS, a record number of participating countries is expected at the ninth exhibition - more than 46. In total, about 1 thousand companies will open their stands here. To date, 978 enterprises have already confirmed their intention to exhibit their products. Applications for participation will be accepted until March 20.
