Russian sambo wrestlers test positive for meldonium

Both athletes insisting on the verificatory 'B' sample opening

Doping 'A' samples of two Russian sambo athletes proved to be positive for the banned substance meldonium, Vasily Shestakov, member of the State Duma's sports committee (United Russia Party) and President of the International Sambo Federation, told Interfax.

"Two sambo athletes had their 'A' samples tested positive for meldonium after the Minsk tournament," Shestakov said.

The both athletes are insisting on the verificatory 'B' sample opening, he added.
