The Russian machine-building company Uralvagonzavod has an exhibition this year at Defexpo India 2016, where it is showing off its state-of-the-art tank-mounted system for firing remotely-detonated high-explosive projectiles. These are designed to be capable of eliminating various targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles and helicopters, the company's press service said Tuesday.

On March 28-31, the Defexpo India 2016 exhibition is being held in the Indian state of Goa.

"We have displayed, for the first time at an exhibition abroad, a unique tank [mounted] system for [launching] remotely detonated high-explosive projectiles, using a 125-mm ZVOF128 tank round with a high-explosive ZOF82 time projectile, which surpasses its global peers in terms of characteristics," the press service said.

The projectile-launching system may be mounted on Т-72, Т-80 and Т-90 battle tanks, multiplying their combat effectiveness in all types of operations.
