Reps of Russian Foreign Ministry, U.S. State Dept meet in Monterey

​Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security met in Monterey, the U.S., "on the sidelines" of a conference organized by the U.S. James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and Russia's Center for Energy And Security Studies

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller met in Monterey, the U.S., "on the sidelines" of a conference organized by the U.S. James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, and Russia's Center for Energy And Security Studies.

The counterparts had "an in-depth discussion of the issues on the current bilateral agenda related to the field of arms control" during the meeting on April 8, according to a release published on the Russian Foreign Ministry website on April 9.

They also touched on some international problems, the ministry said.
