Approximately 660,000 people took part in Easter services in Moscow cathedrals; the police maintained law and order, the press service of the Interior Ministry's department in the city of Moscow has told Interfax.
"Last Saturday and in the small hours of Sunday, 433 Orthodox cathedrals, churches, convents and monasteries of the capital city held festive services and blessed Easter cakes, and Easter processions were performed on adjoining territories. According to the preliminary information, the Easter events involved about 660,000 people," a press service employee said.
