A pilot zone will be established near Khabarovsk.

The first stage of a joint Russian-Chinese navigation platform will be implemented at border crossings between the countries by the end of the year, Sputnik News reported.

“The establishment of a pilot zone to work out organizational and technical solutions is scheduled for 2016,” the website cited Alexander Boreyko, head of Intellectual Transport Technologies LLC, as saying at the 10th International Navigation Forum. “We consider a border crossing point in the vicinity of Khabarovsk and terminal container complex of the FESCO [transportation] group to be the first stage of the project.”
