A criminal case has been opened into an exchange of fire and the death of two people at the Khovanskoye cemetery in Moscow, says Alexander Nikitin, a spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee department for Moscow.
"A criminal case has been opened under Russian Criminal Code Article 105 (murder). A joint team of investigators and operatives from the Investigative Committee and the Interior Ministry is working at the scene," Nikitin told Interfax on May 14.
Two people were killed in the fight from gunshot wounds, he said.
Nikitin said reports on a policeman's death had yet to be verified.
Two hundred people were involved in a mass fight at the Khovanskoye cemetery, the Russian Interior Ministry department for Moscow told.
"Updated reports indicate that 50 out of the 200 participants in a mass fight at the Khovanskoye cemetery have been detained, and police have been deployed at the scene," it said.
