Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will meet with First Vice-President of the Cuban Council of State and Council of Ministers Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez in Moscow on May 26.

"The meeting will discuss trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Cuba, including interaction in energy, industries, pharmaceuticals, high technologies, space, education and tourism," the Russian government's press service said.

Also, Medvedev and Dias-Canel Bermudez will consider an expansion of bilateral investment, scientific, technological, cultural and humanitarian relations.

On May 23, Dias-Canel Bermudes met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk: he delivered greetings from Raul Castro and invited him to visit Cuba at any time convenient for the Belarusian president, the Belarusian presidential press service reported.

Lukashenko said he was ready for economic cooperation with Cuba and reaffirmed that the positions of Belarus and Cuba "practically coincided on every item" of the international agenda in the field of diplomacy. Lukashenko refreshed his invitation for Raul Castro, President of the Cuban Council of State and Council of Ministers to visit Belarus. He asked Dias-Canel Bermudez to convey his best wishes to Fidel Castro. "I think I will be able to meet him in the foreseeable future and, as we did before, we will discuss the most pressing issues of international relations," the president said.
