Russia is strengthening the group of troops on the Western strategic track, a source familiar with the situation told Interfax-AVN on June 3.
"Two motorized infantry brigades will be redeployed from the central districts of the country to the Western border of Russia in connection with the formation of three divisions [two in the Western Military District and one in the Southern Military District]," the source said.
The source said the redeployment of the 28th separate motorized infantry brigade from Yekaterinburg to Klintsy, Bryansk region, had begun. The 23rd separate motorized infantry brigade is being redeployed from Samara to Valuiki, Belgorod region.
