Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Valeriya Lutkovska and her Russian colleague Tatyana Moskalkova have agreed to sign a document for transferring some inmates from Simferopol to the Ukrainian territory, an Interfax correspondent reported.
"We have agreed to sign a document on the transfer of those individuals. Mechanisms of appealing to relevant authorities have been discussed," Moskalkova told reporters in Minsk on June 21.
Lutkovska and Moskalkova met in the capital of Belarus to discuss the handover of Ukrainian citizens being held in custody in Crimea to the territory of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian ombudsman said earlier that the meeting with her Russian counterpart will be a humanitarian conversation without any political overtones.
