TASSRussian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on July 16 that Moscow would exert every effort to protect its citizens and property of Russian companies in Turkey. "In any case, we should exert every effort to protect the interests of our citizens and our companies, our legal entities", he told reporters.
"This also applies to the air service and other transportation links with Turkey. This also applies to ships and other transport vehicles, which are sent to Turkey or are in Turkey. The corresponding order has been given to the Transport Ministry and other agencies by the president and by me", the Russian prime minister said.
A group of insurgents staged a military attempt coup in Turkey on the night from July 15 to July 16.
