Russia, UK extend agreement on scientific cooperation for 10 years

The first agreement dated May 28, 1996

Russia and Great Britain will extend the 1996 agreement on scientific and technical cooperation for ten years more, according to a Russian government resolution on exchange of relevant notes with the British side posted on the official portal of legal information on Aug. 1.

"To accept the initiative of Russia’s ministry of education and science that was agreed with the foreign ministry and the ministry of justice and preliminarily squared with the British side on signing by means of exchange of notes between the governments of the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom on extending the term of the agreement on scientific and technical cooperation dated May 28, 1996 for ten years more starting from May 28, 2016," the document says.
