The Russian national team rises to the fourth place in the unofficial team standing at the 2016 Summer Olympics after the fifteenth day winning 53 medals - 17 gold, 17 silver and 19 bronze.

The Russian national team rose to the fourth place in the unofficial team standing at the 2016 Summer Olympics after the fifteenth day winning 53 medals - 17 gold, 17 silver and 19 bronze.

On the fifteenth day, Russians won five medals. Women’s handball team, Margarita Mamun, freestyle wrester 86kg Abdul Rashid Sadulaev and pentathlete Alexander Lesun took gold.

Rhythmic gymnast Yana Serebryakova won silver.

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games kicked off in Rio de Janeiro on August 5. The closing day is August 21. -
