The Russian holding plans to increase exports to Southeast Asia.

Russian agricultural enterprise Rusagro Group is planning to export pork to Vietnam in 2017, the VN express website reported on Aug. 29.

The exports to Vietnam are a part of the company’s business expansion strategy in Southeast Asia, the website said.

“Vietnam has issued a license to allow Russian pork imports to the country, and we are applying for an export license. Shipments are expected to start next year,” Maxin Basov, general director of Rusagro, told the website.

Rusagro is one of Russia’s largest agro-industrial holding companies. It mainly deals in sugar, oil, and meat products.
