Medvedev and Modi meet on the margins of the summit in Laos

They discuss the Indo-Russian relations during the meeting.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he has had a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev "on the margins" of the East Asia Summit in Laos.

"I was glad to meet with Prime Minister Medvedev and discuss the Indo-Russian relations during the meeting," - said Modi in his Twitter account.

He also met with the US President Barack Obama. According to the Indian media reports, they discussed cooperation in the energy sector, including that in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.

As it was, probably, the last meeting between Modi and Obama, while the latter still holds the presidency, the Indian prime minister invited the American leader to visit India after the end of term. He replied that he would take the opportunity, because he wanted to visit the Taj Mahal with his wife Michelle.
