Russia will help investigating a recent cyber-attack on the WADA database.

Russia will help investigating a recent cyber-attack on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) database in case the global organization requests such assistance from Moscow, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.

"We will definitely help, if they request the assistance," Peskov told journalists after asked whether Russia was willing to fight illegal activities of hackers.

President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman also said that "Russia had been consistently standing for the fight against cyber-crimes and kept inviting other countries for cooperation in this sphere."

"This position of Russia was voiced many times before," Peskov said.
