Assad: Support from Russia, Iran makes Syrians stauncher

The Syrian leader spoke at a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Jaberi Ansari.

Support for Syria from Russia and Iran makes the Syrian people stauncher in fight against terrorists, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said on Monday.

"Support offered by Russia, Iran and other friendly countries is very important and makes the Syrian people more staunch in fight against terrorists in the war imposed on us (the Syrian people)," the president said.

The Syrian leader spoke at a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari, who is in Damascus on a visit.
