Turkey plans to restore its relations with Russia in all areas by leaps and bounds and bring them to a new level, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said at the meeting with heads of regional branches of the ruling Justice and Development Party on Wednesday.
"The relations with Russia are developing rapidly, our goal is not to limit them to a pre-crisis level but to bring them to a new one and make them all-encompassing. The decisions have been made on developing relations in different areas…and we are implementing them," Yildirim said commenting on the October 10 talks between the Russian and Turkish leaders in Istanbul.
Turkey’s Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said on Tuesday Ankara and Moscow plan to boost their annual trade to $100 billion in the coming years. According to the Turkish ministry of economy, trade between the two countries stood at $24 billion in 2015 and at $11.2 billion in the first eight months of 2016.
