The next summit of the BRICS association to be held in China’s Xiamen.

The next summit of the BRICS association of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will be held in China’s Xiamen in September 2017, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Sunday.

"China will work with all countries concerned on the implementation of the consensus reached at the previous summits to expand partnership and write a new chapter in the history of cooperation within BRICS," he said.

Xi Jinping was Xiamen’s deputy mayor in the 1980s. The city is known as one of China’s tourist centers, boasting mild climate and picturesque environs.
