India’s Air Chief Marshal arrives in Russia on official visit

Arup Raha is going to hold talks with Russian senior military.

Indian Chief of the Air Staff Marshal Arup Raha arrived on Monday in Russia with an official visit aimed to improve cooperation between the countries' air forces, the Indian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Raha is going to hold talks with Russian senior military and discuss a number of bilateral issues on defense cooperation, according to the statement.

“The visit is intended to take the existing defence cooperation between the Air Forces of the two countries to the next level. The areas of cooperation presently include military and technical cooperation, exchange visits and air exercises,” the statement said.

The ministry added that the visit would be an impetus to improving bonds of friendship between the countries’ air forces. The visit will end on October 29.
