Russia and Greece sign agreement on scientific and technical cooperation

'Collaboration between our research institutions is already underway'

Russian Education and Science Minister Olga Vasilyeva and Alternate Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs of Greece Costas Fotakis signed an agreement on scientific, technical and innovation cooperation on Nov. 11.

"On behalf of the entire delegation, I would like to thank you for your friendly welcome and positive work, this is a continuation of major efforts launched earlier," Vasilyeva said.

"The agreement signed today is aimed at specific results in the field of research and technology," Fotakis stressed.

He noted that certain steps had been taken this year, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. "The current agreement provides for bolstering ties in such areas as agriculture, the energy sector, health care, primarily medications, culture, cultural heritage and its preservation with the help of new technologies and cooperation in the aircraft engineering," Fotakis said.

"Collaboration between our research institutions is already underway. The agreement is aimed at strengthening these ties," he added.
