Moscow to host Russia-Singapore IGC talks

Igor Shuvalov and Tharman Shanmugaratnam will co-chair the high-level talks.

The Sixth Session of the High-Level Russia-Singapore Inter-Governmental Commission (IGC) will be held in Moscow on November 17-18.

The session will be co-chaired by Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov and Tharman Shanmugaratnan, Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies.

The commission will look at measures to deepen investment ties and the sharing of experiences on governance and manpower policy, as well as to enhance cooperation in the agriculture, culture and higher education sectors, Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Russia-Singapore bilateral trade touched a record $8 billion in 2014.

Shanmugaratnan and Shuvalov will also open the Russia-Singapore Business Forum.
