The latest supplement of news about Russia appears in Australia

On March 13, 2013, Russia Beyond the Headlines, the international media project of Rossiyskaya
Gazeta, issued its latest supplement in Australia – the first in a new, 16-page format. The issue
appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, reaching a total audience of 340,000.
The first supplements in Australia were published in November and December of last year. These
were eight-page, broadsheet-sized issues. In 2013, six issues are planned, and the format has been
changed to accomodate a new compact 16-page, tabloid style layout.

The latest issue features an interview with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Australia
Vladimir Morozov, material on bilateral relations, information on how to invest in Russia, along
with news about Russian start-ups and Russian cultural events planned for Australia. The issue also
features a special report on Russia women – including articles on the beauty industry in Russia and
how senior women are spending their retirement years.

«Russia and Australia have many common interests, particularly within the framework of APEC
and the G20. An increase in communication and shared information must accompany these ties.
The Russia Beyond the Headlines supplement helps with this goal and therefore helps improve
bilataral relations,» said Eugene Abov, publisher of Russia Beyond the Headlines.
