Isaev Wins Judo Gold For Russia

Russian judoka Mansur Isaev took Olympic gold in the men's 73 kilogram category, beating Japan's Riki Nakaya by yuko in the final on Monday.

Of Russia's two gold medals so far, both have come in judo, after Arsen Galstyan won the 60 kilogram category Saturday. The bronze medals went to Nyam-Ochir Sainjargal from Mongolia, who beat Dutch judoka Dex Elmont by yuko, while the French Ugo Legrand took the second bronze with an overtime win against South Korea's Ki-Chun Wang by waza-ari.

In the women's 57 kilogram category, Kaori Matsumoto from Japan won gold after beating Romanian's Corina Caprioriu, who was disqualified for using an unsafe hold. France's Pavia Automne took the bronze after beating her Hungarian opponent Hedvig Karakas by yuko. American judoka Marti Malloy took the second bronze, beting Italy's Giulia Quintavalle by Ippon.
