Moscow Court has ruled the controversial "Innosense of Muslims" video to be extremist material

Moscow's Tverskoy District Court has ruled the controversial "Innosense of Muslims" video to be extremist material.

Marina Gridneva, a representative of the General Prosecutor's office, commented that the motivation behind the ruling came from the film's implication of Islam's and its followers' inferiority. "The psychological and linguistic study carried out upon request from the Prosecutor's office found that the film is directed at inciting religious hatred and animosity and at degrading human beings based on their nationality and attitude toward religion," said Gridneva. The decision will now be sent to the Ministry of Justice, which will add it to a federal list of extremist materials.
