Sleepless Museum Night in Moscow beats the records

Museum Night, which started on the evening of May 18th, was the seventh for Moscow. The event, which is also known as International Museum Day, originated to celebrate Cultural Heritage Day. Over 200 venues, including museums, exhibitions, historical mansions, parks, concert halls, cinemas and the zoo, opened their doors for the whole night. More than 1,200,000 sleepless Muscovites used an opportunity to visit all cultural establishments for free. The Moscow edition of the event was the most crowded in Europe.
