Kostroma Dance Show: From Rus to the USSR

Every day from June 18th to September 13th in the Cosmos Hotel’s concert hall, Kostroma Dance Show unites lyrical sketches with elements of folklore and ancient Russian epic. Today the image of the “girl in silver”—the famous ballet’s brand symbolizing the delicate image of Kostroma filigree art—invites guests to Moscow to take a journey to the depths of Russian culture with its fairy tales, legends and Soviet motives!

The Russian national ballet ‘Kostroma’ is composed of 50 dancers on stage, 15 reincarnations, 10 tons of freight, 600 unique costumes, 300 props, and 8 set changes... It reveals the history of ancient Rus and the life of its peoples through the art of dance. Act by act, the audience is plunged into the times of Rus’ christening, czarist Russia, and the USSR, revealing the life of the people living in the Far North, in the southern steppes, in the Caucasus Mountains, and in Central Russia.
