Russia’s lower house speaker to meet Xi Jinping

Sergei Naryshkin, the speaker of the State Duma (Russian lower house of parliament) will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing this week, RIA Novosti reported.

A parliamentary delegation headed by Naryshkin will visit China on May 5-8. 

During the visit, Naryshkin will take part in the second meeting of the Russia-China inter-parliamentary cooperation commission. The integration of the Eurasian Economic Union with China’s Silk Road project will be on the agenda of the meeting.
