Quiz: Try to guess the Russian cities that even locals mix up

Legion Media
Some unlucky football fans coming for the FIFA World Cup have already taken a wrong turn in the country and ended up way off course - all thanks to cities with similar names. It’s time to know Omsk from Tomsk, all of the Nihznys, and how many Rostovs there are. Good luck.

Some football fans who traveled to Russia to watch the Switzerland-Brazil match were left red-faced when they journeyed to Rostov Veliky (200 km northeast of Moscow) instead of Rostov-on-Don (1,000 km south of Moscow). To be honest, it’s a pretty easy mistake to make – sometimes the names of cities even confuse Russians.

Take another quiz and guess which photo depicts Russia? Test your intuition!
