Russian judoka Ivan Nifontov took Olympic bronze in the men's 81kg category Tuesday, beating Japan's Takahiro Nakai by Ippon in the bronze medal match. It's a third medal in judo for Russia after Arsen Galstyan won the 60kg category Saturday and Mansur Isaev took gold in the 73kg.
The other bronze went to the Canadian judoka Antoine Valois-Fortier, who beat Travis Stevens of the U.S. by yuko, while in the final match Jae-Bum Kim from South Korea also defeated the German Ole Bischof by yuko. In the women's 63kg category, Urska Zolnir from Slovenia won gold after beating Lili Xu of China by waza-ari, the highest score possible.
Yoshie Ueno from Japan took the bronze after beating Mongolia's Munkhzaya Tsedevsuren by yuko. French judoka Gevrise Emane gained the second bronze, downing Da-Woon Joung of South Korea by unanimous decision.
