Krasnoyarsk Krai

Krasnoyarsk Krai

Not just a territory, but the heart of Siberia! Krasnoyarsk Krai ('Territory') is the second largest region of Russia, after Yakutia. If you compare it to the countries of the world, it’s only slightly smaller than Argentina or Kazakhstan.

Krasnoyarsk Territory extends from the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago in the Arctic Ocean to Abakan and Minusinsk. The Taymyr Peninsula, the city of Norilsk, Dudinka, Yeniseysk, the Putorana Plateau – this is all Krasnoyarsk Territory!

The main sights of Krasnoyarsk are known throughout the country, because they are depicted on the 10-ruble bill. One side features the breathtaking Communal Bridge and the small Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel and, the other, the epic Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station.
