Ryazan Region

We have mushrooms in Ryazan… Well, you probably remember already. In the city, there is even a monument to the famous Ryazan mushrooms - according to legend, it was “knocked over” mushrooms that helped determine the path of the enemy Tatar-Mongolian army. And, in general, Ryazan Region is known as the birthplace of Russian poet Sergey Yesenin; he praised the birches and golden fields of his native village of Konstantinovo. His huts offer such views of the Oka River that anyone would be a poet in his place!
