The name of the region immediately betrays its geographical position - it is located beyond Baikal or, rather, to the east of it and borders on Buryatia. The capital is Chita.

Hot air, endless spaces and lack of water: for most people, the word ‘desert’ is associated with an unfriendly dangerous place, where you definitely wouldn’t want to be left alone.
