The Prostokvashino children’s animated series is a cherished staple of Russian culture, with its silly wisdoms and catchphrases used on a near-daily basis. Author Eduard Uspensky - the man whose book the cult cartoon was based on - has sadly passed away August 14. We remember his legacy.
