Russia has always been famous for its snow and cold. However, due to climate change, some of the regions are facing less tough winters. But take a look at this series of photographs that Soviet photographer Yury Sadovnikov took on Sakhalin Island back in the 1960s that show just how heavy snowstorms could get in the USSR!
