“An incredible, amazing tournament” and “the best World Cup ever” – this is how FIFA president Gianni Infantino described the World Cup in Russia that concluded on July 15. With so many records broken and so many unexpected results and fans’ stories, it’d difficult to argue with this assumption.
While the official statistics are still being calculated, some preliminary data is already available. A clear takeaway is that the World Cup was great for sales of kokoshniks!
