This Soviet train used magnetic levitation instead of wheels

Early "maglev" (short for magnetic levitation) or “floating trains” were available to the general public in the U.S., the U.K and Germany, but the Soviet Union had one of its own! The USSR was supposed to be one of the first countries to produce and use Maglev trains commercially.
